We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and passionate person to join our safety team at NZ’s largest distribution centre! In this role you will be committed to our Journey to Zero strategy of ensuring we have zero harm at our site and every Foodie goes home safely every single day.
About the role
- Working as a support person, you will be instrumental across the DC in various safety activities which ensures our team get home safe to their whānau everyday!
- Support audits and provide guidance to our leaders – you will be the go-to-person for all things safety
- Oversee the induction planning of all new staff, including temps whilst demonstrating a professional commitment to workplace training and development.
- Respond to safety queries and weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reporting.
- Help drive new initiatives and innovations to keep our team engaged with safety
In this role you will be supporting our afternoon/night shift teams Monday to Friday 6pm to 2:30am.
About you
- You’ll have an awesome understanding of DC operations OR relevant warehouse experience.
- Preferably have experience in the application of safety policies, procedures, and standards
- You will be keen to assist others and take a sense of pride in a job well done all while having fun.
- Have a passion for making our workplace safe and be able to drive a safety-first culture and bring our team members on this journey.
