Marel is a leading provider of cutting-edge technology and equipment for the food processing industry. In this position you will together with your colleagues support into the Fish Division. The local team consists of two Financial Controllers and two Accountants but you will also be collaborating with controllers and accountants from the rest of the region. You will be working out of our location Lillestrom in Norway.
You daily tasks will be to have:
- Follow up with our Shared Service Centre including ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Create, maintain and analyze Power-BI reports
- Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, and financial reconciliations.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and interpret key financial indicators, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes.
- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements to streamline financial operations.

In order to be successful in this position, you are eager to learn new things. We are looking for an initiative-taking, reliable and independent person who is motivated by a results-driven environment with a focus on efficiency. We imagine you have an educational background within finance and/or economics. Moreover, you bring with you:
- Have experience from a similar role within controlling
- Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English both spoken and written
- Preferably you have good system expertise within relevant analyses tools, including very good excel skills.
- You have high personal integrity, as well as the ability to challenge in a constructive and pedagogically good way.
