About Santen’s internship for students with visual impairments

This internship vacancy entails a preference policy for students with visual impairments.

This internship falls under the umbrella of initiatives that we are supporting to build a society that is inclusive for everyone. As a specialized company dedicated to ophthalmology, we welcome the applications from students with visual impairments. We believe that students with visual impairments are a valuable addition to our organization and are encouraged to apply to this specific internship.

The internship’s mission

During this internship programme you will have the opportunity to take part in a job rotation to gain valuable, hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry. You will learn how different departments work which will help you to understand your passions and strengths. These are some of the activities that you will be involved with, which may evolve during the course of the internship and based on your feedback:

  • Support HR Generalists with various HR processes and the on-boarding of new employees
  • Contributing to HR projects such as Engagement, Well-being, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
  • Help Santen further improve its internship for students with visual impairments
  • Introduction to the Commercial work by supporting the commercial team needs. This may include the possibility to accompany a Key Account Manager (KAM) during hospital/office based doctors/pharmacy visits
  • Support the organization of some fun events in our Amsterdam office

Qualifications


To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor degree in any field
  • Ability to work with diverse international stakeholders
  • Fluent in English
  • Capacity to work in a collaborative and cross-functional manner, with a strong sense of team spirit
  • Interest in working for an ophthalmology company
  • Willingness to travel domestically
