The FSC Indigenous Foundation (FSC-IF) aims to empower and promote Indigenous Peoples' sustainable forest-based solutions. The foundation ensures an enabling environment that upholds the rights of Indigenous Peoples within 300 million hectares of indigenous forests on the planet. FSC-IF's vision is to incorporate Indigenous Peoples' global values, rights, livelihoods, ecosystem services, natural capital, and communities into forest governance, climate change governance, and market systems. The FSC-IF seeks a strategic and results driven Director of Development and Partnerships who will create and execute growth and sustainability strategies.

Their primary role includes identifying new opportunities to expand funding streams from both donor organizations and private sector companies whilst also maintaining relationships with them.The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Lead program design, development and implementation strategies and plans toIdentify and close on new programopportunities to grow funding streamsLead on the design, development, and implementation of a strategic partnership approach to create win-win long-term relationships with key Private Sector actors, donors, and other interested parties in line with the FSC IF's Objectives, Plans, andProgramsDevelop and prioritize donor relationships and funding opportunities whilst maintaining database.Strengthen/consolidate the visibility and leadership of FSC IF with public and private donors in areas related to the mission and objectives of theorganization. Lead the effort to develop and negotiatewinning proposals to potential targets. Maintain strategic partnerships aligned with KPIs and financial targets.Collaborating with IPARD Program Lead to develop strategic partnerships.Desired skills and qualifications include: Degree in business/finance/economics/international development or equivalent experience.7+ years of experience in business and program development, fundraising, and income generation in the international development/NGO sector with a track record of securing significant funds (e.g., mid- seven figure income generation annually).Ideally experience working with USAID and EU funding.Strong and extensive network of contacts in the field.Expertise in developing, securing, and strengthening long-term donor partnerships.Multinational experience. Experience with international development projects or programs related to climate change/indigenous peoples Candidates deeply familiar with Indigenous Peoples basic values, spiritual beliefs, culture, tradition, traditionally practiced ecosystem services and communities.
