Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist supports the AP team’s day-to-day activities to ensure timely payment is made to CME's suppliers. The role also serves to communicate with suppliers, as well as CME staff to resolve issues surrounding the payment or non-payment of invoices. The selected individual can expect to assist in data entry, generating reporting, and data review & analysis.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Address Business Stakeholder, Procurement and Supplier inquiries regarding Accounts Payable policies and procedures, as well as inquiries around status of payments to suppliers, in the shared email box.
  • Work independently to resolve any issues that may arise with Business Stakeholders or Suppliers.
  • Maintain the new supplier requests, change requests and supplier onboarding email
  • Work with departments across the company to obtain supplier’s W9/W8 forms and update Workday with new information.
  • Provide analysis of the supplier master; cleaning up the data, removing duplicates, and suggesting areas for improvement.
  • Occasionally, assist the team with processing invoices using Workday Financials, to ensure timely payment to CME’s suppliers. Ensure invoices are processed the correct general ledger coding, currency, & CME legal entity.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to POs/Approvals/Receipting
  • Assist AP with creating and analyzing reporting to ensure efficient invoice processing

Skills & Software Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Individual should be detail orientated and familiar with data entry tasks
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite & Google Workplace – Emphasis on Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams
  • Workday Financials & Adobe Pro knowledge is preferred
  • Familiarity with Banking Portals is a plus
