About the Role
This Clinical Trial Administration Assistant – Rare Cancers position offers a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated team of multidisciplinary experts in the field of gynaecological cancer research. As part of this team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate data entry and follow-up of rare cancer data, working closely with other team members to support important research projects and protocols. This is an exciting role that offers great development opportunities for anyone looking to make a meaningful impact in the field of cancer research.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide day-to-day administration support for the Rare Cancer Program cluster by requesting participant data from referring clinicians and institutions, deidentifying, filing, and inputting participant data, and maintaining data logs.
  • Assist in responding to incoming requests from external clinicians, participants, and other researchers, as well as from internal team members.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, maintain established clinical and research governance in accordance with the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC).
  • Attend and contribute to research group and broader department meetings, assist with sample acquisition/couriering/arrangements.

Who We Are Looking For
You have well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, you can work effectively in a team environment, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and communicate complex information with clarity and accuracy. You should be motivated by the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of experts in the field of rare cancer research and make a meaningful impact in improving patient outcomes.

You will also have:

  • Good organisational skills, attention to detail and data management skills that ensure the smooth delivery of study outcomes while managing competing demands and conflicting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated level of competency with Microsoft Office Suite and software packages, including Word, Excel, Power point.
  • Proven capacity to work both within a team as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision on agreed tasks, within a framework of broad guidelines and procedures.

This position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check to ensure the University provides a safe environment for everyone.
