YMCA Education has a permanent term time only vacancy - Youth Van Driver located in Palmerston North. This role is 20-25 hours per week during term time only, usually worked Monday to Thursday between 7 am to 9.30 am and 3 pm to 5.30 pm.
We are currently looking for a person to transport our youth to and from our Youth Education programme in Palmerston North from around the regions. The person will be responsible for delivering high quality driving services for our students to and from YMCA Education. The applicants will need the following attributes:
Essential
- A full clean driver’s licence and the ability to drive a manual is essential.
- Strict adherence to health and safety standards and procedures
- Ability to engage and communicate with young people from diverse backgrounds.
- First aid certificate or willing to obtain one.
- Caring and friendly.
- Values Driven
- Enjoys driving
- Experience in making sound decisions in the absence of direct supervision.
Desirable
- Experienced driver with experience driving a van and transporting people.
- New Zealand Certificate in Youth Work or be willing to complete this.
