Job Summary
Qualified but hands-on? Well established listed fund seeks an African candidate to work on various sites. The portfolio of 3 buildings consists of 2 malls and a mixed-use development and various open / public spaces. All buildings are within a 7km drive of each other, but your own car will be essential as you move between each site as you will be responsible for various day to day operations as well as some special projects. This would include the sourcing of quotations, coordination and oversight of contractors, management of the handymen and significant tenant engagement. There are many public spaces in these precincts, and so compliance with all applicable local and national bi-laws including Health and Safety regulations is essential. Of equal importance they need someone who is able to budget monthly, annually and on a 5-year projection from a zero base who is then able to maintain these budgets over the course of their life-cycle through consistent high standards. A technical degree in construction, facilities or similar is essential, and this must be coupled with a minimum of 3 years' on-site facilities management experience.
