The Regional IT Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of all IT systems, business systems, office systems, computer networks, and telephony systems throughout our hotels. The role provides user training and support of all property/site systems, network enhancements, hardware and software support. The role also maintains inventory of all hardware products and software licenses, and reviews maintenance agreements.


The role is based in the regional office of TUI BLUE Austria in Schladming, with travel requirements to our hotels in Austria.

German (C2-C1) and English (C1-C2) both written and spoken required.


ABOUT THE JOB

  • As regional IT Manager for TUI BLUE Hotels Austria you are a member of the global IT team and will be contributing and delivering the overall IT strategy implementation in the Austrian market.
  • The role will primarily become responsible for overseeing the IT infrastructure and ensuring the delivery and smooth operation of network and IT services during all phases of the construction, pre-opening and opening of our properties.
  • You will be ensuring that all IT-Security measures are met and that appropriate backups, contingency plans and tests occur as scheduled.
  • You will ensure maintenance of hardware at the property through internal cleaning and external technology partner SLAs.
  • You will Ensures all property technology is appropriately documented and licensed and seeks to maximize uptime of all systems and telecoms services and maintain logs as required.
  • You will prepares and complete the CAPEX budgeting for property/properties as per the schedule given
  • You will manage functional requirements and lead technical projects as well as ensure there`s sufficient capability in IT to deliver in the hotel.
  • You will adapt the existing TUI BLUE IT SOP and will recommend required changes to make them fit for your properties.
  • You will conduct self IT audit at least twice per year and perform spot checks on processes and ensure IT processes are met.

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven IT player with broad knowledge of all IT disciplines and managing change
  • Extensive experience in IT related environment (Hospitality environment would be a plus)
  • Qualification or certification of Microsoft MCSE, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, ITIL Foundations/Service Manager, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) would be advantageous
  • Excellent business German (C2-C1) and English (C1-C2) both written and spoken.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills, adept at managing a wide range of stakeholders
  • Evidence of inspiring confidence and credibility and influencing and persuading at senior level
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with IT and the business to deploy appropriate technology solutions
  • Strong Financial and Commercial Acumen; budget management
  • Awareness of global hospitality technology trends such as back of the house and guest facing operational & technical experience with hospitality management systems
  • Proven track record of running IT operations at scale.
  • Committed to keeping up to date with industry, technical and competitor data and using effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative and an enthusiastic team player who displays good human relations’ skills.
  • Must be flexible in working hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
