As the Technical Officer, you will be responsible for providing efficient and high-level clinical, laboratory and administrative support to staff and students within the School of Nursing and Midwifery.

In this role you will:

  • Prepare laboratory equipment and resources for teaching sessions in the Simulation Learning Environment (SLE).
  • Support Clinical Educators in the delivery of simulation using high, medium and low technical simulation equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain an equipment inventory, audit, and stock control of school equipment, supervise lending and return of equipment.

This continuing position is part time (0.6FTE) and will be primarily located at Central Coast Clinical School – Gosford (Darkinjung land), with an expectation to work at Callaghan campus as required.

  • Experience working with laboratory equipment, and knowledge of safe laboratory practices.
  • Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to work to competing deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to build effective working relationships with staff and students.


What we offer

The remuneration for this position is from $65,591 pro-rated + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.
