In the department of Skincare DA, we are looking for a (Junior) Scientist.
As a (Junior) Scientist, your main responsibilities are :
§ Select technologies meeting the innovation objectives of Skincare DA
§ Design robust platforms that can be cascaded into winning formulas matching the defined performance objectives and timing
§ Be the guarantor of quality, safety and sustainable development commitments
§ Start to collect, sort and perform an initial analysis of scientific and technical information, clarify state of arts, conduct bibliographic research, for experiment preparation and manipulations
§ Perform the lab trials and follow scaling up, industrialization studies and all the tests (stability, safety/efficacy, and consumer), write technical & project status recap and ensure systematic reporting and/or presentation
§ Analyze the results, ensure the interpretation and make proposals and technical solutions to solve the technical challenge of projects
§ Apply patents for protecting innovation technology
§ Project planning, experimental planning for given projects, made time control, risk assessment and mitigation actions
§ Transfer Skincare DA technology to Development while sharing his/her expertise and retaining a leader role in project follow-up
§ Participate in the development of expertise and know-how (consumer insights, market knowledge, new conception methods etc.)
§ Start to transfer knowledge and know-how, and provide technical support to colleagues in certain projects
§ Start to diversify his/her competences and integrate various information into his/her own work
§ Build technical network with other functional team (Dev, SOF team, physical chemistry team etc.)
§ Ensure and respect all company and R&I guidelines, ex. EHS rules and good laboratory practice. (ex. housekeeping)
§ Lead and coordinate transversal missions
To succeed in this position, you have :
- Education background
- Required professional experience
- Mandatory technical skills and Nice to have technical skills
- Fluent in English
You are :
§ Master above, chemistry related background, lab work/formulation experience, understanding of research activities and relevant scientific and technical application
§ Responsible, working under pressure, hard working
§ Logical and sharp communication
§ Creativity, proposes creative ideas or scientific concepts
§ Good summarizing/abstracting and presentation skill
§ Fluent in English and Chinese
§ Team spirit minded
§ Sense and knowledge about makeup products, makeup trend, market awareness
