FIRST NATIONS, MÉTIS and INUIT SUPPORT WORKER – Children of St. Martha School

We are looking to hire a continuous 35.0 hour per week First Nations, Métis and Inuit Support Worker serving students primarily at Children of St. Martha School in Lethbridge. This assignment is to commence August 30, 2023. This is an out of scope position.
We are seeking an individual who:
- Works collaboratively with colleagues to support First Nations, Métis and Inuit education for all;
- Demonstrates high energy and initiative while engaging youth and staff in learning experiences about First Nations, Métis and Inuit history, culture, language, and traditions;
- Assists our community to celebrate and take pride in First Nations, Métis and Inuit culture and heritage;
- Acts as a compassionate role model while holding high expectations for self and students;
- Demonstrates resourcefulness and excellent communication skills;
- Collaborates with staff, administration and community members to make a positive difference in the learning success of First Nations, Métis and Inuit students;
- Acts as liaison between home and school to build strong relationships with parents and caregivers.
This position requires the successful candidate to have a valid driver’s license.
