Position Summary

The General Ledger Team Member will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records of the organization by performing general ledger functions and ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills and a thorough understanding of accounting concepts, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily general ledger functions, including recording and posting journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjusting entries.
  • Maintained and reconcile various general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and internal policies.
  • Assist in preparing accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze and manipulate financial data, creating reports and dashboards to support decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure the accurate and timely completion of month-end close procedures.
  • Help Sarbanes Oxley team with IT Audit projects.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of audit requests.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and streamline workflows for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed

Technical Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with accounting software, such as Quickbooks, Oracle Netsuite, or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
  • CPA certification is a plus.

Salary: Php30,000.00 - Php35,000.00 per month
