Financial Controls & Compliance Specialist Novartis, Prague, Czech Republic
20+ is the number of countries supported by FC&C Team. The FC&C Specialist will be responsible for supporting the FC&C Manager in ensuring compliance with Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM) and SOX 404 requirements.
Your key responsibilities:

20+ is the number of countries supported by FC&C Team. The FC&C Specialist will be responsible for supporting the FC&C Manager in ensuring compliance with Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM) and SOX 404 requirements.
Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure compliance with the Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM) and SOX 404 requirements.
- Provide all required NFCM deliverables according to the communicated schedule.
- Understand business processes; review process documentation and have a good understanding of key risks and mitigating controls.
- Ensure understanding of the standard processes and controls related requirements. Internal & external audits
- Support SOX 404 attestation processes. Business processes
- Participate in process walkthroughs as required/requested
- Support implementation of standard processes as defined in the Finance Core.
- Track action items, including accurate and timely resolution of agreed actions

- University Degree in Economics or Business Administration (or equivalent), specializing in Finance/Accounting/Auditing
- At least 3 years experience in compliance, internal or external audit (preferable Big 4 audit firm) focusing on finance audits, SOX audits and compliance
- Good understanding of business processes
- Ability to work in complex, multinational environment
- Knowledge of SAP and MS Office
- Fluency in English and Russian is a must
