The Bureau's observing network assets portfolio is distributed across 12,500 sites covering all states and territories of Australia and other jurisdictions. Observing network assets include, but are not limited to, Radars, Automatic Weather Stations, Tsunami Boys, Rain Gauges and other measuring apparatus. The Asset Management Technical Officer will assist with the establishment and development of the Bureau's new asset management capability to ensure the efficient and effective lifecycle management of the Bureau's observing network asset portfolio.
With their experience using and supporting Maximo or similar Enterprise Asset Management systems, the Asset Management Technical Officer will provide support and assistance to the broader asset management and operational teams. This assistance will extend to business and technical support, report and other configuration activities, maintenance of data integrity and participation in system uplift projects.
