The Opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a seasonal Site Coordinator to join our Operations and Human Resources team at Sequoia National Park in California. As an Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for performing clerical and administrative duties to help the organization run efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver associate training programs.
  • Maintain training records and provide reports on activities as needed.
  • Book classrooms and ensure they are properly set up.
  • Support the property in the hiring process by opening requisitions, attending job fairs, participating in local workforce programs,
  • Help associates with their onboarding and new hire paperwork and badging.
  • Issue associate uniforms.
  • Escalate HR issues to the proper person and team.
  • Provide basic administrative support which includes coordinating activities and meetings, preparing expense reports and processing invoices for proper delivery, arranging appointments, and contacting team members.
  • Perform routine clerical duties, such as sorting, filing, distributing mail, making copies, and mailing routine letters. Opens and reviews incoming mail. Screens, sorts, and forwards mail to appropriate areas and responds to routine inquiries.
  • Prioritize work to meet deadlines with minimal guidance as to established times. Coordinates vendor appointments, maintenance, and environmental upkeep for offices.
  • Coordinate and distribute the linen and room supplies at the property.
  • Clean restrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, and other communal areas.
  • Inspect the facilities and grounds at the property; ensure all areas are clean and sanitized.
  • Ensure compliance with Employee Housing Guidelines

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license to transport associates, when required.
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Transportation (DOT) card within 10 days of the hire date.
  • Ability to problem-solve and operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience as a training administrator or similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle's PeopleSoft is a plus.
