Job Title: Insurance Billing Specialist
Dynamic Therapy is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Insurance Billing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing patient accounts, records, and bills. Working in our office or administrative area, you will play a vital role in processing payments, claims, and insurance-related paperwork for our patients and medical providers. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure accurate and timely submission of all necessary documents. You will collaborate closely with doctors, providers, and nurses to guarantee that paperwork is entered and submitted correctly.
Responsibilities:
- Handle patient accounts, records, and bills in accordance with established protocols.
- Process payments, claims, and insurance-related paperwork promptly and accurately.
- Collaborate with doctors, providers, and nurses to ensure timely submission of documents.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility to ensure accurate billing.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date patient records and billing information.
- Address and resolve any billing inquiries or discrepancies from patients, insurance providers, or internal teams.
- Stay informed about changes in insurance regulations, coding guidelines, and billing practices.
- Assist with financial reporting and analysis related to insurance billing.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing and coding is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Insurance Billing Specialist or similar role.
- Strong understanding of insurance billing processes, medical coding, and documentation requirements.
- Proficiency in using billing software and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing claims and paperwork.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with medical professionals and insurance providers.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address billing inquiries and discrepancies.
- Familiarity with CPT codes, diagnosis codes, and insurance claim forms.
- Knowledge of ClinicSource software is a plus.
