Your Impact
Your role as lead in the Cloud Enablement team presents a fantastic opportunity to be part of the Integration of the recently acquired GSAM BV into Goldman Sachs Asset and Wealth Management. We are seeking for an enthusiastic, highly skilled AWS architect with a technical background. This individual should possess a deep understanding of AWS services. You will use your AWS knowledge to enable the migration of GSAM BV AWS-hosted applications to Goldman Sachs cloud. You will be part of a team that enables the application dev teams to migrate their workloads onto the Goldman Sachs AWS cloud by developing migration patterns and providing hands-on assistance to Dev teams. This requires you to operate on a deep technical level with both Goldman Sachs and GSAM BV engineers (e.g. Cloud Foundation and GSAM BV application dev teams), as well as, guiding senior stakeholders in problem solving and decision making. In all discussions you bring technical expertise and provide direction on integration challenges.
Over time the stakeholders and business context for this role will transition towards GS internal initiatives – e.g. migrating on premise solutions to cloud. In this role you will serve internal stakeholders within the AWM division and put AWM’s Cloud Strategy in practise.
The team is located in The Hague in The Netherlands and consists of approximately 13 engineers working directly with cloud teams based in New York, Dallas, San Francisco and London.

Skills and experience we are looking for
- Solid, (past) hands-on experience building and managing AWS infrastructures
- AWS Solution Architecture Associate and System Operations on AWS certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Security & compliance awareness; ensure that that sensitive data is kept confidential
- Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and presentation in English
- Proficiency in AWS cost management
- Proven strong communication and interpersonal ability, with an ability to present complex technical challenges to both technical and non-technical senior audiences
- Proven experience with CI/CD and DevOps.
- Understanding of and experience with working in a highly regulated financial environment is desired.
