Principal Responsibilities
l To proactively provide professional legal advice, guidance and support for Global Banking (“GB”), Digital Business Services (“DBS”) and the assigned areas (other business & function) to ensure that HACN’s exposure to legal risk is properly and effectively identified and managed, including but not limited to corporate banking, leasing, procurement, IP, operation, transformation area;
l Monitoring GB & DBS business related laws’ legislation;
l To assist General Counsel (GC) to proactively identify business opportunities, and to formulate, co-ordinate, communicate and implement the strategic and operational objectives of HACN LGA relating to their assigned areas
l Perform all projects or tasks assigned by the GC from time to time;
l To perform legal risks management as first and second lines of defense relating to their assigned areas in compliance with the relevant policies and procedures;
l To engage with the legal members of the HASE LGA and the Global Legal Function, in particular those relating to his/her assigned areas, as well as the local professional community generally;
l Provide legal training within LGA team and business line;
l May support team member cross business line.
l Bar admission of PRC is required. Admissions in multiple jurisdictions will be a plus.
l More than 3 years corporate banking legal experience and 2 years of leasing &procurement legal experience. Experience in handling IT, IP & HR related issues will be a plus.
l Should be familiar with personal data protection laws & regulations.
l Should be fluent English and Chinese language skills.
l Excellent project management skills and planning and time management abilities
