Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Accounts Manager in developing and implementing financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Review and verify financial transactions, invoices, and purchase orders for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide insights into the organization's financial performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper recording and classification of financial transactions.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to optimize working capital and liquidity.
- Conduct regular audits of financial processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist in the preparation of financial data for internal and external audits.
- Support the preparation and submission of tax returns and other statutory filings.
- Provide guidance and training to junior accounting staff, ensuring their understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations, industry trends, and best practices to ensure compliance and recommend process improvements.
- Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders and external partners regarding financial matters in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
- Qualification: ACCA, CA, CMA
- Proven experience (6 -7 years) working in a similar role, preferably in a corporate accounting department or public accounting firm.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Integrity and ethical conduct when handling sensitive financial information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
